If you're in Los Angeles--or have friends and family who are--I invite you to join me this Saturday, October 21st, at the 2nd Annual People of Color Animal Rights, Advocacy and Food Justice Conference at UCLA. I'll be speaking along with 18 other leaders of color about all aspects of veganism.
I'm so excited about this conference! It's a rare opportunity for renowned vegans of color with a variety of perspectives to gather together to share and learn with you. Special thanks to Elizabeth (Liz) Ross and Dr. Linda Alvarez, co-founders of Vegan Advocacy Initiative, for organizing the conference.
My talk is called "10 Steps to Help People Change the Way They Eat," which is distilled from nearly 30 years of teaching people how to go vegan and love it.
Check out the full schedule, speakers, and speaking topics here. And did I mention there's an afterparty at Native Foods? It's going to be an awesome event!
So if you're in the LA area, I hope to see you there!
And now I'd love to hear from you. If you have a tip to share about how you helped a family member, friend, or co-worker go vegan, please leave a comment below to share with our readers. I just might give you a shout out in my talk!
