I absolutely LOVE the Avocado Toast at my neighborhood Le Pain Quotidien, and I usually get it once a week. So, I finally decided to see if their exact recipe was online so I can make it at home. And voila! There it was. And here it is. The secret is in the citrus cumin salt combination. It's so simple and delish!
*FOR THE CITRUS CUMIN SALT
RED PEPPER FLAKES
Toast the slices of whole wheat bread, meanwhile prepare the Citrus Cumin Salt.
Slice each avocado in half, reserving 1/2 of one avocado for slices. Scoop the rest into a bowl and mash gently with a fork. Season to taste with sea salt, black pepper and lemon juice.
Spread the avocado mash across the toasted bread, and sprinkle with Citrus Cumin Salt. Cut each piece of bread into triangles and top with avocado slices.
Try it with some Lentil Soup or Kale Salad and let me know what you think!
